The surrounding area

We inherited the beautiful and idyllic location of our farm from our ancestors.

The farm house borders on mixed woodland called 'Grafeler Forst' and a conservation area. There are hedgerows for the protection of birds along the way to Rotenburg which extends over 400 metres northwards and there are two romantic ponds close to the house.

So you can do whatever you like, whether it is going for a nice walk in the forest or riding a bicycle to the lakes (Bullenseen) nearby. If the weather is nice you can go swimming or hire a pedal boat and finally go to a playground in the forest which is perfect for children. Nature-lovers have often seen game on their walks.

On a tour through the nearby villages you can visit farms, churches, inns, cafés which are typical of that region but also enjoy the beautiful countryside.

It is also possible to explore the area by going on a horse and carriage tour.

This region is characterized by the river Wümme. On a tour towards the Wümmewiesen one should spend time on looking at flora and fauna.
Also canoe trecking and walking in the Wolfsgrund when the heather is in flower is a great adventure.
